Fun Yourself Fit With IRFU Tag This Summer

Deadlines for teams registering to play IRFU Tag in the Summer Leagues are almost upon us, with new venues, Garryowen FC kicking off on Wednesday, 18th May and UCC commencing on Thursday, 19th May at the Mardyke, Cork. For more information you can register on www.irfutag.ie

The growth of Tag has been greatly successful in spreading the popularity of the game of rugby. Its non-contact nature along with its social aspects have made it accessible to both men and women in the specially graded levels. It is also a valuable way for a rugby club to keep active outside of the main season, often welcoming new visitors, members, players or referees.

These leagues cater for all levels of skill and fitness in mixed social teams, and also at selected locations, Summer Leagues, Spring Leagues, Mens and Vets Tag (Men Over 33). As IRFU Tag is such great unmatchable value, a player in effect pays little more than €;4 per week to play in a nine-week season.

Munster and Ireland scrum-half, Conor Murray, recently launched the Summer Season at his home club, brand new venue, Garryowen FC.

To celebrate its tenth year running, an exclusive competition for all players was announced with some great prizes on offer including a brand new Tiguan for the year, with tax and insurance all paid up. Not to be missed! To sign up for the draw, ensure your team registration includes your name and details.

The Volkswagen Tag All-Ireland Championships will also take place on Saturday 16th July, 2016. This is where we will see 60 teams from all four provinces converge at Old Belvedere RFC to contest national titles in four different grades and disciplines. A massive day with lots of Volkswagen-related activity happening on-site.
