Disability Rugby Blitz

Disability Rugby in Ireland was recently showcased at the Shane Geoghegan Memorial Tournament in Garryowen FC.

Running alongside the main event was a Tag Rugby Blitz for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Teams Competing on the day were Garryowen Lions, De La Salle Palmerston and Mullingar Lions. Although the emphasis for the blitz was enjoyment, the competition was fierce.

After the blitz the players received medals for participation and stayed on to enjoy the craic.
