Coaching Workshop In Garryowen

Munster Rugby recently hosted a Stage 1 Coaching Workshop in Garryowen FC for coaches from the mini section.

In total, 10 coaches were present on the night with 25 players from the Garryowen Under-11 side participating.

The session was coordinated by Munster Rugby Community Rugby Officers Andy Brace and Fiach O’Loughlin.

The Stage 1 Workshop showed a wide range of sample fun games and skills related to the two General Movement Groups at Stage 1: ‘Players on the Ball’ and ‘Players in Space’.

An introduction showing the concept and importance of physical literacy in the planning of each session was also included.
