Coaching Workshop At Garryowen FC

Munster Rugby recently hosted a Stage 1 Coaching Workshop in Garryowen FC for the club’s mini rugby section.

A total of fourteen coaches took part in the evening with twenty-five players from the Garryowen Under 10 side also participating. The session was coordinated by Munster Rugby Community Rugby Officers Andy Brace and Fiach O’Loughlin.

The Stage 1 Workshop showed a wide range of sample fun games and skills related to the two general movement groups at Stage 1 ‘Players on the Ball’ and ‘Players in Space’.

An introduction showing the concept and importance of physical literacy in the planning of each session was also included.
