Coaching The Coaches

The Domestic Rugby department recently held a Foundation Coaching Course for coaches around the province at the University of Limerick.

The Foundation Course is an introduction to the 15 a side game for coaches and helpers with limited experience in rugby and is aimed at those coaching at under-age level.

Thirty nine coaches from around the province took part in the fifteen hour course, held over two days on the last weekend of August.

The participants made use of the 4G pitch and the conference and event facilities available at the new UL Pavilion.

The course material covered all areas of coaching players between the ages of thirteen and sixteen.
