Club Notes: Week Ending 04.09.15

This week’s club notes come from Killarney and Newcastlewest rugby clubs.

Killarney RFC are hosting a Family Day at their brand new pitch in Aghadoe next Sunday, 6th of September from 1pm to 5pm.

It promises to be a great day with lot of entertainment for children including a bouncy castle, sack racing, face paining and tug of war.

A bar-be-que and refreshments will be provided on the day.

Junior & U20 Training

Training for all Junior squad and U20 squad player is now in full swing. Training times are as follows

Field sessions: Monday & Wednesday @ 7.30pm. Weights sessions: 6.00am or 6.00pm Tuesday & Thursday

Mini Rugby season begins again on Sun 06-Sep at 10:30 am

Now that the schools are open for the 2015/16 year we will be kicking off the Rugby season with u6 – u12 rugby training, Could all new and current children aged 6 to 12 years and interesting rugby as a team sport please attend our Kilelline pitch on Sunday 6^th September from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Richard Brown Memorial tournament

On Saturday next at 12:00 we have invited three other clubs to join us in a round robin competition in honour of, Richard Brown an ex-player of the club. Tralee, last year’s winners, Young Munster, last year’s u16 Pan Munster Finalists and Old Crescent/St Senan’s have kindly accepted the invitation. Please mark it off on your social calendar and arrive in numbers to support our team and the extended Brown Family.

U15 Friendly

The under 15 squad have a friendly on Sunday @ 12 Noon in Killeline. Details: Newcastle West/Estuary vs Young Munster in Kilelline at 12 noon Sun 06-Sep.

Youths and U20 Rugby Training

Calling all u13 to u20 players, please contact or respond to texts from your coaches to attend your teams training. With the success we had at underage last season we are hoping to equal if not better the success this year. If you want to be part of a winning team & club come to training and get noticed.
