CBC & PBC Name Semi Final Teams

The Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup semi final between Cork rivals Christian Brothers College and Presentation Brothers College kicks off tomorrow, 24th February in Irish Independent Park at 2.30pm.

In a much anticipated fixture, both schools share the honours of most Cup wins with 28 titles each to their credit and will go head to head to claim a spot in this year’s final at Irish Independent Park.

Their last Senior Cup meeting was in 2009 in the semi final at Temple Hill where CBC, captained by Brian Hayes, were victorious, recording a 15-10 win. That year, the Sidney Hill side went on to claim the title against Rockwell College in the final.

PBC last claimed the title in 2010, beating Rockwell College 22-10 at Thomond Park Stadium under dual captains, Dave O'Mahony and current Munster hooker Niall Scannell.

Tomorrow’s winners will meet either Crescent College Comprehensive or Castletroy College after the two Limerick schools battle it out on Thursday, 25th February, in the second semi final at Thomond Park Stadium (kick-off 2.30pm).
