Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup Semi Final Update

This week-end sees the 101st Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior Cup Semi-final as Rockwell College host Christian Brothers College, Cork, on Saturday 5th March in Clanwilliam F.C. at 3.00 p.m.

The home side will strive to reach the cup final for their third consecutive year.

CBC currently head the role of honours with last year’s winners PBC. Both schools have claimed 28 titles each while Rockwell College follow third with 23 titles.

Thomond Park will host Sunday’s other semi-final clash between Crescent College Comprehensive and current title holders PBC in what promises to be a highly competitive fixture (k.o. 3.00 p.m.).

Last year’s Junior Cup winners Crescent College are chasing their first Senior Cup title since 1994 when they claimed victory over PBC 13-6 in Thomond Park on St. Patrick’s Day.

The Crescent team that year was captained by Bevan Cantrell with Munster and Irish Representative David Wallace playing in the back row.
