Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Cup Quarter Final Line Up

Holders Presentation Brothers College advanced to a home quarter final tie against St. Munchin’s with a 21-5 hard earned victory over Glenstal Abbey at C.I.T.

With the Temple Hill ground unplayable the game was switched to the C.I.T. grounds at short notice.

Pres’ out half Eamon Mills opened the scoring with a drop goal after twenty minutes to lead 3-0 at half time. Conor Kearns was off target with two penalty efforts in the opening half.

Rory Scannell extended the Mardyke College’s advantage with a penalty five minutes into the second half. Tries by Barry Fitzgerald (forty eight minutes) and skipper Ryan Murphy six minutes later, the latter converted by Scannell made it 18-0.

Twelve minutes from time Scannell kicked his second penalty and with seven minutes remaining Kearns got in for a try for Glenstal.
