Squad Update | Munster Prepare For Edinburgh In Cork

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Friday’s URC round three clash against Edinburgh at Virgin Media Park (7.45pm).

Match tickets are available here. The Munster team will be named at midday on Thursday.

There are two injuries to report following Saturday night’s win over Cardiff at Thomond Park.

Shane Daly failed a HIA post-match and will enter the return-to-play protocols.

Niall Scannell sustained a hand laceration and his availability will be determined later in the week.

Seven players return to full training this week: Edwin Edogbo, Tom Farrell, Mike Haley, Mikey Milne, John Ryan, Roman Salanoa and Andrew Smith.

Availability for the returning players will be determined later this week.

JJ Hanrahan is continuing to follow the return-to-play protocols and his availability will be determined later in the week.

Diarmuid Kilgallen is increasing his training load.

There were 13 Munster players in AIL action at the weekend.

Dylan Hicks and Danny Sheahan helped Cork Constitution to a 42-14 win over Terenure College at Temple Hill. They both touched down with Hicks kicking six conversions.

Fionn Gibbons, Shay McCarthy and Evan O’Connell were in action for Young Munster as they were beaten by St Mary’s College.

Tom Wood, George Hadden and Max Clein lined out for Garryowen in their draw with Queen’s University. Clein was a try-scorer and Wood kicked a conversion.

Gene O’Leary Kareem and Conor Ryan featured for UCC as they were beaten by Instonians.

Oisín Minogue and Emmet Calvey were in action for Shannon as they were beaten by MU Barnhall.

Darragh McSweeney was in action for Nenagh Ormond as the Tipperary side lost out to UCD in Dublin.
