Preparations are in full swing for Munster’s first-ever competitive match at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday, December 13, as we take on Gloucester in the Investec Champions Cup.

The game kicks off at 5.30pm with a record crowd for a Champions Cup game in Munster to attend.

We will have full supporter matchday information covering all operational details next week.

A big screen will be installed at Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the game at the City Terrace end of the stadium. To facilitate the big screen, there will be a slight reduction in capacity from the 40,885 sell-out game against Crusaders in February 2024.

The goal posts in Páirc Uí Chaoimh are not fit for purpose for a rugby game. Like previous Munster fixtures at the stadium, the goal posts will be removed from Thomond Park and transported to the venue. The Virgin Media Park posts were not an option due to different fittings.

Match clocks will be installed in the corners as the scoreboard clock in Páirc Uí Chaoimh runs without stoppages.
