Munster Rugby Announce Limerick Youth Service As Charity Partner

Munster Rugby are pleased to announce that Limerick Youth Service have been selected as one of the club’s nominated charities for the 2025/26 season.

Over the season Munster Rugby will work closely with Limerick Youth Service, actively supporting them in helping raise awareness and funds for much-needed resources that are widely availed of across the city and county.

Limerick Youth Service was founded in 1973 and is a provider of youth work, education, training and employability programmes to young people aged 10-25 in Limerick City and County. Limerick Youth Service’s supports and programmes are delivered within nine dedicated, safe, accessible and youth friendly spaces throughout the city and county.

Limerick Youth Service joined Munster players Mike Haley, Alex Nankivell and Fineen Wycherley at the University of Limerick training base earlier this month to launch the partnership.

Commenting on the partnership, CEO of Limerick Youth Service Fiona O’Grady said:

“We are delighted to team up with Munster Rugby and look forward to an exciting season ahead for both of us.

“The young people we work with were delighted to learn about the partnership and are looking forward to welcoming the Munster players to our youth spaces.

“The partnership will also give Munster Rugby an opportunity to promote the sport with some of Limerick’s new and underrepresented communities and discover the next generation of stars!”

On announcing Limerick Youth Service as one of Munster Rugby’s nominated charities for season 2025/26, Seán McMahon, Munster Rugby Head of Communications said:

“We are delighted to have Limerick Youth Service on board as one of our nominated charities for the year ahead in what is our 16th season coordinating the Munster Rugby nominated charity partnership.

“With Limerick Youth Service’s Northside Youth Space located right beside Thomond Park, it is fantastic to partner with a charity that does such important work in our local community.

“Limerick Youth Service provide an invaluable service to young people across both Limerick City and County and I’m excited to see how our aligned values and vision can benefit young people across the region.”
