Munster Rugby Shortlisted For Sport Positive Awards 2025

Munster Rugby is among 100 organisations and individuals who have been shortlisted for Sport Positive Awards 2025 for leading the charge on creating a more sustainable, resilient, equitable, and climate-conscious future for sport.
Shortlisted for ‘Report Of The Year’ for our 2024 Environmental Impact & Sustainability Report, Munster Rugby is proud to have our work recognized among those leading the charge in climate action and sustainability at these prestigious global awards.
This award celebrates and recognizes a standout report sharing novel, updated or expanded insights into sport and its efforts in sustainability, tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis or environmental justice. Among those also nominated for this Award are NFL franchise Minnesota Vikings and Premier League side Liverpool FC.

In our 2024 Environmental Impact and Sustainability Report, we aim to go further with our communication of this complex issue already impacting our people and our communities by using our own rugby language to break it down. We delve into our ‘why’, our ‘how’ and share what happens behind-the-scenes to encourage others to join us and help us on our journey.
Sport Positive Awards 2025 is a global industry awards that celebrates, uplifts, inspires and raises awareness of the people and organizations working in and around sport that are enabling game-changing activities that are ensuring sustainable business, climate action, biodiversity and environmental justice. Sports clubs, teams, leagues, venues, federations, non-profits, and academics from around the world, from Hong Kong to Australia, Canada to Brazil, and UK to UAE and USA, have been shortlisted across twelve categories, including Purpose-Led Partnership, Campaign of the Year, and Inspired Innovation.

An independent faculty of global judges will decide who will lift the trophy for each category, and winners will be revealed during the Sport Positive Awards ceremony on 7 October 2025 in London. The Awards celebration is held in tandem with Sport Positive Summit 2025, taking place in 7-8 October 2025 in London.
