We spoke to new signing Seán O’Brien last week as he settles in at Munster after making the move from Exeter Chiefs in the summer.

Seán scored three tries in 16 appearances for Exeter over two seasons and started their Champions Cup round of 16, quarter-final and semi-final fixtures in 2022/23.

The centre started out at Mullingar RFC before spending three years in the Connacht Rugby Academy and then making the move to Exeter.

He made six appearances for the Ireland U20s in 2018 and lined out with Munster team-mates Diarmuid Barron, Jack Daly and Jack O’Sullivan.

His brother, Conor, played with Leinster for five seasons before retiring due to injury last year.
