Video highlights, action shots and the post-match reaction of Head Coach Anthony Foley as Munster maintained winning ways with a bonus point victory over Newport-Gwent Dragons. The result sees Munster climb to fifth on the Guinness PRO12 table.

Across the 80 minutes Dave Kilcoyne bagged his second brace of tries in three games while Rory Scannell and James Cronin both scored their first PRO12 tries of the season.  Ian Keatley added two conversions with Johnny Holland adding one.

Speaking after the win, a contented Foley said, “Our discipline was quite good – it looked like we were never going to give up a yellow card.  There wasn't infringement on infringement, the boys got behind the hind-most foot and got off the line and didn't go after the ball unless it was available to go after and they showed good discipline around that.

“The boys played well, they went about their job very well. It was difficult at times. Dragons as we knew coming into the game were going to be tough. They were physical with their nine and ten, they challenged a lot around the edges but our boys kept turning up and knocking them down.

“Granted there was one or two occasions where the TMO was called in but I think for the vast majority of the game we controlled it, apart from a 10-minute blast in the second half where we couldn't get out of our 22.”

After rehabbing a neck injury that kept him sidelined since October, Stephen Archer came on as a replacement to win his 100th Munster cap, while the game also saw replacement out-half Johnny Holland return from a long term hamstring injury to make his first PRO12 appearance since November 2014.

Foley added, “Stephen is a quality player, so it's great to have him back now.

“It's taken Johnny a bit of a while to get back but he scored 26 points for Cork Con last week and came on today and was very composed.  He's a very tidy player and it was great for him to get 19-20 minutes tonight, it was crucial. At crucial stages he controlled the game pretty well.”
