In previewing this weekend’s Guinness PRO12 action, Anthony Foley commented, “It’s going to be a very difficult game but we are looking forward to it. We’ve been watching a lot of rugby in the past couple of weeks, itching to go after the Glasgow game where we scraped over the line in the last few minutes. We were left frustrated with things we did during that game and this weekend we have a chance to put that right.

“We’re primed and ready for Saturday and now we need to go out and get a result. The promotion of the game has gone well and kids get to go for free so if we can get a good crowd and a carnival atmosphere in the ground I think that will feed into the players.

“We will need a big performance. We’ve watched their (Cardiff) previous games and they have an excellent Head Coach. We know Graham Steadman from his time with Ireland and Munster and in terms of attack and defence they are a very organised side who will test us in a number of areas. Like us, they are down a number of players with the World Cup, but they also have a number of experienced players still in their ranks and we will see that experience on Saturday.”
