Vacancy: IRFU Logistics Assistant

The IRFU are inviting applications for the position of Logistics Assistant. Reporting to the Logistics Manager in their Naas Office, the successful candidate will support and assist the Logistics Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse operations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Operational: Logistics Manager
Functional: Operations & Events Manager

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Logistics Coordinator;
  • Finance Department;
  • Team Services Department;
  • National Team Management;
  • Referees Department;
  • Various kit suppliers;
  • PA to the CEO;
  • Event Staff;
  • External catering Staff;
  • Suppliers;
  • All IRFU staff.


KEY QUALITIES:
Essential:

  • Excellent organisational, planning and teamwork skills;
  • Highly motivated self-starter;
  • Initiative;
  • Discretion and Confidentiality;
  • Knowledge of Stock Management Systems;
  • Full Clean Driving Licence;
  • Strong IT skills;


Desirable:

  • Accounts experience;
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills;
  • Hold a C1 Licence and be available to drive a truck internationally if when required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the supervision of the warehouse manager;
  • Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and is maintained appropriately;
  • Maintain an up to date record of supplies within the warehouse;
  • Maintain an up to date record of training supplies with teams;
  • Ensure that Health and Safety matters are brought to the attention of the Logistics Manager;
  • Drive the van as required throughout the country to make deliveries as requested;
  • Be available to work as a bag man for individual teams if and when required both at home and abroad;
  • From time to time you may be required to undertake any additional tasks as may yet be determined;
  • The candidate must be available and willing to undertake a course to enable the numbering and embroidery of kit when requested.

  • Make effective and informed decisions in relation to the role.
