Players Out In Force To Meet Fans

Following last Friday night’s pre-season encounter with Grenoble, members of the Munster squad joined supporters in Thomond Park’s Fan Zone Plaza for a post-match BBQ. Also on the night, Junior Supporters Club ‘Job for a Day’ winners got behind the scenes access to assist Munster team and event staff.

A highly competitive and exciting affair on the field saw Grenoble score six tries – as opposed to Munster’s five – in becoming 29-38 winners. Nonetheless Anthony Foley was happy with how his charges acquitted themselves across the 80 minutes with a number of players winning their first senior caps. View video highlights here.

The result certainly didn’t dampen spirits at the post-match reception where the matchday 26 and squad joined fans for a post-match BBQ. Players and fans alike mingled and chatted as each prepare for another busy season both on the field and in the stands.

The players were also on hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures with new signing Francis Saili proving to be one of the crowd favourites on the night.

Junior Club Job For A Day.
