Squad Update Ahead Of PRO12 Final

The Munster squad completed an overnight camp with a field session in Thomond Park today having gathered in Limerick yesterday to prepare for Saturday evening’s Guinness PRO12 final against Glasgow Warriors at Kingspan Stadium (KO 6:30pm).

A number of players reported bumps and bruises/soreness following Saturday’s dramatic semi-final win over Ospreys. Relive the rollercoaster clash with the match report and the highlights and best pics from the day.

Squad Captain Peter O’Mahony (below with CJ Stander at training today), Paddy Butler, Eusebio Guinazu and Andrew Smith all stood out today’s session but are expected to take part in preparations as the week continues.

Missing from the camp were Simon Zebo and Conor Murray, with Zebo following return to play protocols after sustaining concussion during the second half of the semi-final. Murray will meet with the specialist tomorrow for a knee injury sustained after 16 minutes on Saturday.

Head coach Anthony Foley reported today that there are a number of tired bodies in the squad after a long season. Some players didn't take part in training today with the management team taking a sensible approach to player workload in preparing for Saturday.

The team will travel together to Belfast on Friday ahead of Saturday’s final. Supporters planning to travel can check out more details on how to #MakeKingspanHome here.
