Munster A Side Named For Moseley

Munster A Head Coach Mick O’Driscoll has named his side to face Moseley at Billesley Common in Round 6 of the British and Irish Cup.

Five personnel changes are made to the starting line-up that lost 18-23 at home to Pool 3 winners Worcester Warriors last Friday night at CIT and sees a number of in-form club players rewarded with inclusion in O’Driscoll’s side.

In the front row Cork Constitution duo Liam O’Connor and Ger Sweeney pack down on either side of Niall Scannell at loosehead and tighthead respectively.

As you were for Dave O’Callaghan, with Shane Buckley switching from blindside to partner O’Callaghan in the second row this weekend.

Sean Dougall takes Buckley’s place at 6 with openside Ryan Murphy and number 8 Jack O’Donoghue (captain) remaining in situ.

Garryowen Scrum half Neil Cronin continues to partner Rory Scannell in the half backs, while year two academy player David Johnston comes in to partner Cork Constitution’s Ned Hodson in the midfield.

In the back three, Darren Sweetnam’s return on the left wing sees Ronan O’Mahony move to fullback, with Greg O’Shea remaining on the right wing.

Good showings at club level also earns a number of players inclusion on the bench including former Munster prop and current Highfield player/coach Tim Ryan, Shannon front row Conor Glynn, Shanon lock Lee Nicholas and Dolphin flanker John Quill.

Academy representatives Max Abbott, Gearoid Lyons and Jack Cullen are also named amongst the replacements.

Moseley V Munster A, British & Irish Cup Pool 3 Round 6, Saturday December 13th at Billesley Common – KO 2pm.
