Academy Fundraise For Irish Guide Dogs

Members of the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy last week took to the streets of Cork to help raise money and awareness for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind – once of Munster Rugby’s nominated charities for Season 14/15.

Irish Guide Dogs provide Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and a wide range of training services to people who are vision impaired and children with autism. It is a national charity based in Cork and each year trains people to achieve greater independence and mobility through its services.

As the charity is reliant on public donations, Munster Academy players were delighted to play their part in fundraising for the charity – collecting on Patrick Street in Cork last Friday, ably assisted by their four legged canine companions.

The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as The Irish Heart Foundation are Munster Rugby’s nominated charities for the current season.
