Highfield Secure Second Spot

Highfield RFC advanced to second place in Division 1 of the Women’s All Ireland League last week-end leaving them just four points behind leaders Old Belvedere.

UL Bohs 10 – Highfield 27

League holders UL Bohemian were unable to get back to winning ways dropping down to fourth position on 12 points in the league table. Highfield welcome Galwegians to Cork this coming weekend while UL Bohs will look to revert to winning ways against Old Belvedere in Dublin.

Galwegians 29 – Tralee 8

Tralee travelled to Galwegians hoping to claim their first win of the AIL but came away on the wrong side of a 29 – 8 score line. They welcome newly promoted Portlaoise to Tralee this coming weekend who will also seek their for win of the competition.

AIL Div 2 South

New Ross 0 – Fermoy 10

Newly promoted Fermoy travelled to New Ross and came away with a 10-0 victory. Fermoy are at home to Ballincollig this coming weekend.

Young Munster 14 – Shannon 15

Shannon came out on top by the narrowest of margins in this Limerick derby winning 15 -14. Young Munster face into a free weekend coming while Shannon welcome Nenagh Ormonde to Coonagh.
