Coaching Workshop at Corpus Christi National School
10th December 2012 By jess
Corpus Christi National School teachers recently took part in a Munster Rugby Coaching Workshop, as part of the Limerick Regeneration rugby promotion initiative.
Munster Rugby have spent the last month working closely with the school delivering rugby modules and facilitating teachers on how to run coaching sessions independently. It is anticipated that teachers will continue to follow on from the coach education carried out by Munster Rugby Development Officers and take a lead in the delivery of rugby to students.
The Workshop highlighted the benefits of coaching in the collective with an emphasis on reduced skill development through fun activities. Coaches were also shown different activities to develop individual skills including the development of agility, balance, coordination and speed in a fun environment.
