Munster B&I Cup Squad

Anthony Foley today named a 23 man squad for Munster’s B&I Cup tie against Nottingham in Meadow Lane on Friday night, ko 7.45pm.

The squad includes six academy players, David Kilcoyne, Sean Henry, Dave O’Callaghan, Kieran Essex, Conor Murray, Simon Zebo, and sub academy hooker Duncan Casey, who made his B&I Cup debut against Melrose in December.

Friday night should see the return of Ian Nagle who was a late withdrawal from the New Year's Day squad v Ulster due to illness.

The Nottingham pack is expected to include All Blacks lock Ali Williams who is on a one month stint with the East Midlands Club, seeking game time after an Achilles tendon injury before rejoining his club side, the Blues in Auckland.

Another squad member that may be familiar to some is Junior Sifa who lined out in the All Ireland League with Midleton RFC for two seasons before making the move to Nottingham.

Backs: Duncan Williams, Conor Murray, Declan Cusack, Scott Deasy, Ivan Dineen, Barry Murphy, Tom Gleeson, Danny Barnes, Simon Zebo, Sean Scanlon, TBC.

Munster's next B&I Cup home game takes place in Garryowen FC, Dooradoyle on Friday the 21st of Jan. against Esher, ko 7.30pm.  Ticket details can be found here.
