Match-Day Information: Munster v Northampton

Munster Rugby are calling on all supporters to showcase the strong traditions of a Thomond Park match day this Saturday – as always, Turn Thomond Red, Be Vocal and Show Respect for the Kicker.

Munster v Northampton Saints, Heineken Cup Quarter Final, Saturday 10th April, Thomond Park, ko 5.30pm
Gates open at 3.30pm, 2 hours before kick-off.

Tickets
There are no tickets on sale for this game.

Please check your tickets for the details of the turnstiles (T1 – T12). Your ticket will only be accepted in the turnstiles identified on your ticket.  View a plan of Thomond Park here.

Travel
Please arrive early and allow sufficient time for your journey.

The Park and Ride facility will be in operation from the following locations:
Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, from 2.00pm
Radisson Hotel Ennis Rd, from 3.00pm
Maldron Hotel, from 4.00pm
Punche’s Hotel, from 4.30pm
Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Resort, Limerick Junction from 4.00pm 

There is a public bus service operating directly from Limerick city centre to Thomond Park Stadium from 3.30pm, pick up is from outside the Dunnes Stores on Henry St.

There is no parking in the vicinity of the Thomond Park Stadium. Parking is available at all city centre car parks.

Travel by Train: Iarnród Éireann would like to advise Munster Rugby supporters that an extra train has been laid on for the Munster v Northampton Heineken Cup Quarter Final game.

The train will depart Limerick Colbert Station at 20.50hrs and will operate direct to Cork serving Charleville and Mallow Stations – arriving in Cork at 22.20hrs. Reservations are essential on this train.

Munster Rugby supporters can choose from any of the regular scheduled trains, which operate every hour, from Cork, Mallow or Charleville to Limerick on the outbound journey (changing at Limerick Junction) – and return on the special direct train from Limerick (dep. 20.50hrs) to Cork after the game.

In order to avoid disappointment at not being able to travel on the train of your choice, Munster Rugby fans are asked to pre-purchase rail tickets on-line at www.irishrail.ie. Reservations are essential and priority will be given to passengers who have pre-booked their seats / tickets on-line.

Rugby fans can also pre purchase their rail tickets by phoning Iarnród Éireann’s new Telesales number, 1-850-TRAINS (Phone 1-850-872467)

Pre-Match
Turn Thomond Park Red  – Wear your Munster colours and don’t forget your flags.

The Dug-Out bar in the East Stand is open from 3.30pm with live entertainment, and competitions in place to win match tickets. Customers entering the Dug-Out Bar require match tickets.

On the pitch entertainment starts one hour before kickoff featuring Elektra, Derek Moloney and the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir, Arcana and Murty.

Don’t miss Thomond Park’s latest pre-match entertainmentElektra, an all female electric string quartet who have been wowing audiences with their innovative and up-tempo style.

Match programmes will be on sale from booths inside and outside the stadium for €;5.

Stadium Information
There are numerous bars and catering facilities within Thomond Park – All open 2 hours before kick-off.

Please respect the kickers by remaining silent during kicks.

Customers are not permitted to exit and re-enter the stadium at any point.

No one will be able to enter the stadium with alcohol or glass and customers will be requested to remove the lids of ant soft drink containers on entering the stadium.

Please do not enter the pitch area at any time and adhere to the stadium ground regulations.

There will be stewards and security on site to assist you with your enquiries on the day, and to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely, so please respect their requests.
