Rugby fans in Tipperary and Clare will hear first hand what life is like as a professional rugby player when Heineken Cup Champions Munster host their annual breakfast briefings in Nenagh and Ennis on the 16th and 17th of November respectively.

The breakfast briefings include a presentation on Running a Professional Rugby Team by the Munster Rugby CEO followed by a question and answer forum with Munster s Director of Rugby, Declan Kidney and several senior players.

The purpose of the breakfast briefings is to give supporters a view behind the scenes of running a professional rugby team. Supporters will also have the opportunity to take part in an open discussion with team management and players on all aspects of the professional game.

The now annual event, hosted in different counties each year, will be held in association with Nenagh and Ennis Chambers of Commerce. Last year the events attracted over 400 supporters between the Kerry and Waterford events. All proceeds from the events will be donated to the local Hospice Foundations.

Garrett Fitzgerald, CEO of Munster Rugby explained we are looking forward to hosting this event in Tipperary and Clare due to the phenomenal growth and level of interest in the game throughout these counties . He added Both counties have been a major contributor of players to Munster Rugby at all levels, including the provinces most capped player Anthony Foley and Marcus Horan from Clare along with Alan Quinlan and development players like Donnacha Ryan from Tipperary. As both counties are major growth centres for the game it is important that we visit such areas to let them know of our future plans. The last season was a huge success for us and the platform for further growth and success, on and off the field.

The Munster Rugby breakfast briefing takes place in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Thursday 16th November and in the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis on Friday 17th November from 8am to 9.30am.

Tickets are available from Nenagh Chamber on 087 6313508 and Ennis Chamber on 065 6842988. There are limited numbers available and admission is by pre paid ticket only.
