Paul O’Connell will captain Munster for the 2006/07 season, taking over from
Anthony Foley who has been captain for the past two seasons. Foley who led the
squad to Heineken Cup victory last season will assume the vice captaincy role
along with Ronan O’Gara.

Meanwhile, Munster will have most of their international contingent available
for selection for the Magners League game against Ulster (Saturday Musgrave
Park 7.30pm). Those not available include John Hayes who injured an ankle at
his home and Denis Leamy who picked up a hamstring injury during the
international mini-camp last week.
