Jauzion Joins Castres

Castres Olympique have strenghtened their hand ahead of this year’s Heineken Cup with the signing of Yannick Jauzion, Brian Liebenberg and Carl Hoeft.

Castres Olympique have strenghtened their hand ahead of this year’s Heineken Cup with the signing of French internationals Yannick Jauzion & Brian Liebenberg and New Zealand’s Carl Hoeft who joins from the Otago Highlanders.

In addition they have also captured the services of Laurent Seigne who joins the coaching staff from Bourgoin.

Other newcomes include Phil Christophers who joins from Leeds Tykes and three back-row from Grenoble, Florian Faure, Julien Puricelli & Karim Ghezal.

Fly-halves Xavier Sadourny & Yann Delaigue are both leaving Castres, Sadourny for Brive and Delaigue to Toulon while Mario Ledesma is moving to Clermont and Mauricio Reggiardiohas retired.

The arrival of Jauzion & Liebenberg probably prompted the departure of Richard Dourthe (Bayonne) and Mark Denney (Bristol) and wing David Bory also heads for England with Bath and the English premiership his destination.
