Senior International Debut For Trevor Hogan

Munster’s Trevor Hogan made his senior international debut in the course of Ireland’s 44-12 victory over Japan in Osaka today, when he came on in the 70th minute as a replacement for Leo Cullen.

By that stage Ireland were home and hosed thanks to tries from Tommy Bowe, Kevin Maggs, Simon Best and Frank Sheahan.

Ireland led 29-6 at half-time with David Humphreys looking particularly sharp before he was forced to retire injured to be replaced by Jeremy Staunton.

All of the home side’s points came from the boot of impressive 21 year old fly-half, Kyohei Morita.
