Despite the limited program, there were plenty of surprises in games that went ahead.Bruff are through to the quarter finals of the Senior Cup, where they will face Shannon, after their 27-13 win over Old Crescent.

Clanwilliam caused an upset in the Heineken Munster Junior Cup, when they defeated a fancied Shannon side 7-0. Thurles also advance to the quarter finals as a result of their 16-8 win over Midleton. These results mean that all five Tipperary First Division sides will be in action in next week’s quarter finals.

Garryowen have taken over the leadership of the Under 20 South Western Conference, after their 12-11 win over Bruff. Leaders Cork Constitution lost their top spot and their first points of the campaign, when they were held to a draw by Buccaneers. Clonakilty retained their South Munster Under 18 title for the fourth successive season, after their narrow 3-0 win over Highfield an exciting final.
