Munster Make 9 Changes For Ebbw Vale Game

Munster coach Alan Gaffney has made nine changes from the side that beat Llanelli last Saturday, for this Friday’s (06/09) game against Ebbw Vale at Musgrave Park.

Munster coach Alan Gaffney has made nine changes from the side that beat Llanelli last Saturday, for next Friday s game against Ebbw Vale at Musgrave Park (7.35pm).

Seven of those changes have come about directly as a result of the international against Romania the following day with seven Munster players involved and therefore obviously, not available for selection. With that in mind Gaffney uses his squad to fill the gaps and there is a return to the side for captain Jim Williams who missed the Llanelli game for personal reasons. John O Neill, forced to cry off that game, returns in place of John Kelly, while Killian Keane takes over at number 10 from Ronan O Gara. Alan Quinlan is named at 6 but Eddie Halvey is on standby in the event that Quinlan is required by the national side

Newcomers Dominic Malone and Simon Kerr make their competitive debuts in place of Peter Stringer and John Hayes respectively while Jeremy Staunton gets the number 15 jersey.
