Strong Munster Contingent Selected For Irish Training squad

Ten Munster players have been selected to take part in the Ireland rugby squad of 37 that will assemble in Limerick for a six day training session on Sunday (11th of August).

Ten Munster players have been selected to take part in the Ireland rugby squad of 37 that will assemble in Limerick for training on Sunday (11th of August) until the following Friday (16th of August).

This six day training session will be in preparation for Irelands two World Cup qualifiers next month when they will travel to Krasnoyarsk on September 21st to face Russia before returning to Dublin to play Georgia on September 28. O’Sullivan’s team will also face Romania on September 7th in a friendly at Thomond Park in Limerick.

Munster players selected:

Forwards: Anthony Foley (Shannon), John Hayes (Shannon), Marcus Horan (Shannon), Mick O’ Driscoll (Cork Constitution), Alan Quinlan (Shannon), Frank Sheahan (Cork Constitution).

Backs: Rob Henderson (Young Munster), John Kelly (Cork Constitution), Ronan O’Gara (Cork Constitution), Peter Stringer (Shannon).
