Player & Coach Workshop At Newport RFC

Munster Rugby recently hosted a Stage 1 Player and Coach Workshop at Newport Rugby RFC.

Over 100 of the Club’s mini players participated over the various age groups with the Under 12s taking part in the practical element of the workshop.

The main focus of the session was the importance of fun at mini rugby age grade.

Coaches were tutored on the physical literacy elements for stage 1 rugby which includes agility, balance, coordination and speed.

The workshop also focused on the general movement groups e.g. catching and passing, evasion, tackle technique and fall in the tackle.
