Cork Munster Charity Golf Outing
The fourth annual Cork Munster Charity Golf Outing will take place on Friday, June 19, at Fota Island Golf Resort. The 2026 Cork Munster Charity Golf Outing will also host the second year of the IRFU Charitable Trust ‘Irish Rugby 150th Golf Cup’.
The winners of the 2025 Cork Munster Charity Golf Outing, will join the winners from the 2025 Connacht, Ulster and Leinster Charity Golf Outings in Fota on the 19th of June 2026, to compete for the “Irish Rugby 150thGolf Cup”. Our guest of honour at our 2025 Munster Charity Golf Outing – seriously injured player Danny Noonan, was delighted his club, Galbally RFC will go forward to represent Munster in Cork.
Danny is one of seven seriously injured players in Munster whom the IRFU Charitable Trust supports. Danny spoke to Jeremy about how incredibly supportive the rugby community have been to him and his family since his accident playing for Galbally RFC, as well as the help and support he has received from the Trust over the years.
The special guests for the 2026 Cork Munster Charity Golf Outing and “Irish Rugby 150th Golf Cup” will be announced in due course.
In keeping with the previous Cork Munster Charity Golf Outings, tee times for four-balls will commence from 1pm with tee-off times available on the 1st and 10th at ten-minute intervals. The event was a sellout again in 2025 with a waiting list, hence please book early to reserve your team and be in with a chance of winning the ‘Irish Rugby 150th Golf Cup’.
Limerick Munster Charity Golf Outing
We’re delighted to launch the very first IRFU Charitable Trust Limerick Munster Charity Golf Outing, taking place in the beautiful Castletroy Golf Club on Wednesday, September 16.
A huge thank you to the entire Castletroy Golf Club team for their exceptional generosity and support in hosting this special event.
This inaugural Limerick outing marks an exciting new chapter for the Trust in Munster. Its purpose is close to all our hearts: to raise vital awareness and support for the 36 seriously injured rugby players from across the four provinces who rely on the IRFU Charitable Trust. Their strength and resilience continue to inspire the rugby community.
One such player, Brendan Glynn from Mallow, captured the spirit of this community perfectly when he said:
“Being involved in rugby, it’s almost like a family, a community thing, and that has been a key support to me – a key part of my life.”
Despite his injury, Brendan and his family remain passionate supporters of the sport, turning out for Mallow RFC, Munster, and Ireland.
A heartfelt thank you to Munster Rugby for their continued backing – not only for this outing, but also for their support of the Cork Munster Charity Golf Outings since 2023. We are equally grateful to the many Rugby Clubs, Schools, Individuals, and Businesses across Munster who stand with the Trust. Your generosity helps fund essential needs such as medical treatment, physical therapy, mobility supports (wheelchairs, home renovations, car adaptations), and ground-breaking spinal injury research.
