Michael Foy captains Munster A tomorrow
The Munster A side has been named for Friday’s Interprovincial Series clash against Ulster A in Belfast (3pm).
Friday’s game is Munster A’s fourth of six matches in the competition after 26-26 and 33-33 draws with Leinster A in the first half of the season and a 31-5 victory over Ulster last week.
Michael Foy captains Munster A for the first time with six changes to the side that won at Nenagh Ormond last week.
Eoghan Smyth, Diarmuid Kilgallen and Paddy Patterson come into the backline with Josh Wycherley, Seán Edogbo and Alex Kendellen joining the pack.
There are 11 Academy and 11 senior players involved with three club players selected in the 25-man squad.
Ben O’Connor, Andrew Smith and Kilgallen start in the back three with Smyth and Seán O’Brien in midfield.
Patterson and Tony Butler are named in the half-backs.
Wycherley, Max Clein and Ronan Foxe pack down in the front row with Foy and Conor Ryan in the engine room.
A back row of Edogbo, Kendellen and Ruadhán Quinn completes the side. Kendellen makes his first appearance since sustaining an ankle injury against Ulster on January 2.
Garryowen hooker Jonathan Byrne, Kieran Ryan and Emmett Calvey provide the front row back-up with Garryowen lock Rory Woods, Conor Kennelly and Oisín Minogue completing the forward cover.
Cork Constitution scrum-half Adam Maher, Dylan Hicks, Fionn Gibbons and Gene O’Leary Kareem are the backline replacements.
