Squad Update | Munster Begin Preparations For Glasgow Warriors

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Friday’s URC Round 11 clash against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun (7.45pm, live on TG4 & Premier Sports).

URC table-toppers Glasgow are five points ahead of Munster after eight wins in 10 games so far this season.

On the injury front, Tom Ahern (neck) has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad.

Following the Dragons game on Friday, Jean Kleyn has entered the return-to-play protocols after a HIA.

JJ Hanrahan has gone for a scan on a hamstring strain after withdrawing from the squad before the game and Alex Nankivell has gone for an MRI for a foot injury sustained during the match.

17 Munster senior and Academy players played with their clubs in the Energia AIL at the weekend.

There have been 182 club appearances for senior and Academy players so far this season.

Eoghan Smyth, Dylan Hicks, Mark Donnelly, Danny Sheahan and Michael Foy were in action for Cork Constitution as they were beaten by Old Belvedere with Sheahan among the tries and Dylan Hicks kicking a conversion.

Andrew Smith, Shay McCarthy, Jake O’Riordan, Kieran Ryan and Luke Murphy helped Young Munster to a win over Terenure College. Murphy and O’Riordan scored a try each for the Cookies.

Gene O’Leary Kareem and Conor Ryan started for UCC as they were beaten away to City of Armagh.

Conor Kennelly helped Highfield to a victory over Dublin University at Woodleigh Park.

George Hadden, Max Clein and Ronan Foxe started in the front row for Garryowen as they won away at Naas.

Oisín Minogue helped Shannon to a win over Wanderers on the back pitch at Thomond Park.
