Squad Update | Prep Begins For Gloucester In Cork

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup clash against Gloucester at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The game kicks off at 5.30pm with remaining tickets available here.

On the injury front following Saturday’s loss in Bath, Michael Milne (ankle) and Fineen Wycherely (finger) will be monitored for progress this week and decisions on their availability will be made later this week.

Andrew Smith returns to training this week after sustaining knee and hamstring injuries against Leinster at Croke Park in October.

Jack O’Donoghue is completing the return-to-play protocols and Jack Crowley is making good progress with his ankle. Decisions on their availability will be made later this week.

On the Energia AIL front, there were 19 senior and Academy players in action for their clubs at the weekend.

Danny Sheahan scored two tries and Dylan Hicks kicked three conversions as they beat Old Belvedere 21-15 with Mark Donnelly and Michael Foy also starting at Temple Hill.

Two-try Shay McCarthy, Evan O’Connell, Conor Bartley, Kieran Ryan, Fionn Gibbons, Luke Murphy and Jake O’Riordan helped Young Munster to a 29-19 victory against Terenure College.

Seán O’Brien and Darragh McSweeney were in action for Nenagh Ormond as they were beaten 28-12 by Clontarf.

Tom Wood kicked two conversions with George Hadden and Max Clein also starting for Garryowen as they lost 24-19 against Naas.

Ben O’Connor scored two tries for UCC as Gene O’Leary Kareem and Seán Edogbo also started their 34-24 defeat to City of Armagh.
