Shay McCarthy made his Munster debut.
Edwin Edogbo, Diarmuid Barron, Antoine Frisch, Andrew Conway & Ethan Coughlan scored the Munster tries in the 34-21 victory over Sharks in round one of the URC at Thomond Park on Saturday evening.
Player of the Match Joey Carbery added nine points off the tee with six Academy players featured as Edogbo and Coughlan scored their first Munster tries.
Shay McCarthy, Kieran Ryan and Brian Gleeson made their senior debuts with Fionn Gibbons also featuring off the bench.
Conway scored his 50th Munster try on his 150th appearance after missing all of last season due to injury and new signing Alex Nankivell made his Munster debut.
