Did you know?

This is Munster’s first visit to Murrayfield in almost two years. The province’s last outing in the Scottish capital was a memorable 17-13 Champions Cup quarter-final victory back in March 2019 with Keith Earls scoring the match-winning try on 70 minutes.

Preview

With no Six Nations action this weekend, the Guinness PRO14 takes centre stage with Munster facing a tough test away to Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh.

Munster can take a step closer to reaching their first PRO14 final since 2017 should they leave the Scottish capital victorious. With a 10-point lead in Conference B, Munster will look to continue their fine form on the road having lost just once away from home in any competition since September.

They also have a decent record at Murrayfield having prevailed in three of their last four visits. Edinburgh have won two of their last three in the PRO14 and will still be targeting a top-three finish with them trailing Cardiff by seven points but with two games in hand.
