The squad will depart for Australia on July 24th, where they will play seven games, culminating with a test match against the Australian Schools team in Canberra on August 26th.
The two previous trips to Australia by the Irish Schools team in 1996 and 2000 were highly successful as the tourists remained undefeated on both occasions, including the test matches against their Australian counterparts. The 1996 side contained future international Peter Stringer.
The 2004 team will take part in a training camp this weekend in Kings Hospital School before departing the following weekend.
