The decision to include Payne in place of Horgan was down to Payne's excellent performances throughout the season and the fact that he can cover various positions.
Alan Gaffney admitted that "as always it is difficult to pick a starting team when there is such strenght in depth but all you can do is pick the team you feel is right and hope that you have made the correct choices."
Also included in the Munster side is Mike Mullins who is only recently back from injury and his inspiring performance against the Warriors last week earned him his place on the field.
