U.L. Bohemians finished top of their Group in the Munster Senior Club League, with a 16-15 win over Cork Constitution at Temple Hill.
U.L. Bohemians finished top of their Group in the Munster Senior Club League, with a 16-15 win over Cork Constitution at Temple Hill. The Limerick side were well in Control and led 16-3 entering the final minutes, before the home scored two late tries.

Old Crescent finished the Group in second place behind their Shannonside neighbours, with an easy 85-5 home win over Sunday's Well.

Dolphin recorded their first home win of the campaign, with a 30-19 win against Thomond at Musgrave Park, with Tomas O'Leary getting two of his side's tries.

Clonakilty's good run continued with an away win against Highfield, to leave the West Cork side in second place behind Garryowen.

U.C.C. recorded a comprehensive victory over Young Munster at the Mardyke, which saw the students finish their Group in second place behind Shannon, who received a walkover from Midleton.

Highfield claimed the first silverware of the season with a deserved 24-8 victory in the South Munster Under 20 League Final against Cork Constitution at Musgrave Park. The Model Farm Road side added more silverware to their collection, when they beat Naas 19-5 in the Final of the Waterpark Under 20 Festival at Ballinakill.

There was a major upset at Youghal in the opening round of the Munster Junior League, when Title Favourites and Munster Junior Cup Holders, Nenagh Ormond were beaten 20-3 by the East Cork side. The hosts led 10-0 at half time, Alan Fox scored two tries for the winners and Mark Walsh kicked two conversions and two penalties.

Skibbereen had a hard-earned 11-7 away win at Abbeyfeale Tyrone Taipei scored all the winners points.

Clonmel gained maximum points at home against a disappointing Castleisland side, running out convincing winners on a score line of 35-3 to claim top spot in their Section.

Kanturk had an 18-17 home win against St. Mary's, in a keenly contested Match.

Kilfeacle bounced back from last week's Cup defeat against Crosshaven, to run out easy winners, on a 64-0 score line against a poor Fermoy outfit at the North Cork Venue. Crosshaven continued their good start to the season with a 20-10 away win against Charleville.

Clanwilliam had a lucky escape at home to Ennis in a typical game of two halves. The Clare side led 14-0 at half time, with a try from Colin Murphy and three penalties from David Murphy. In the second half, the Tipperary Town side redeemed themselves, by holding the visitors scoreless. Three Jason Russell penalties and a Niall Sheehan try levelled proceedings. In injury time Kieran Merrigan scored a try for the home side, which proved to be decisive.

Cashel maintained their good start to the season with a 24-7 away win against St. Senan's. Cobh Pirates gained top spot in their section with a 32-3 home win against a disappointing Richmond side.

Elsewhere, Old Christians had a hard fought 10-0 win at home to Muskerry, Bandon beat Waterford City on a score line of 24-8 at Kilbarry and Thurles recorded a 25-13 home win against Tralee.

In Division 3, Douglas got their campaign off to a good start with a convincing 33-7 home win against Mallow and Newcastle West recorded their third successive one-point victory this season at Galbally's expense on a scoreline of 25-24 at the West Limerick venue.

Killarney recorded a 24-9 win away to Kinsale to claim maximum points. Newport also recorded an away 19-6 win at Dunmanway's expense and Carrick-on-Suir did likewise at Dungarvan, running out 15-8 winners.
