Elsewhere, Alan MacDonald returns to the starting line up in place of Dave Callam who is injured. Ben Cairns switches to outside centre for Marcus Di Rollo who has a pelvic injury, meaning Lucio Lopez Fleming starts at full back.
"The last home game is always important, to put in performance for the supporters to show what it means to the players to be at home." said Edinburgh coach Lynn Howells. "Given our earlier victory at Thomond Park, Munster will want to put the record straight and I've no doubt Declan Kidney will remind them about that as you don't want two results going against you in a season.
"They will play the same way as they always play. It'll be physical and they'll intimidate us, and they also have Ronan O'Gara who can put points on the board from anywhere so it will be tough."
