Munster Schools rugby enjoyed a fantastic season of activity, with a feast of rugby talent on display in both the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cup competitions. Once again Avonmore supported the Fair Play and Performance Awards' at both levels, aimed at promoting and acknowledging the achievements of school rugby teams beyond the winning of trophies. These awards were given to nominated schools that best fit the criteria that included: quality of play, style of play, team presentation, upholding of standards and making an impact on others. The process involved various partners to schools rugby nominating a school in each of the categories.

Crescent College Comprehensive were the proud recipients of the Senior Award. Despite their Senior Cup campaign ending at the semi final stage with a defeat to eventual champions St. Munchin s College, the school were delighted to be singled out for this honour. At Junior level, Glenstal Abbey School came out tops, after a Junior Cup campaign that ended at the quarter final stages. Both teams were presented with their awards by Kieran O Connor, Sponsorship Manager with Avonmore with Crescent College Comprehensive receiving a cheque for 1500 in addition to their certificate.
