With the travel expeditions well underway for Munster's Red Army and over four thousand supporters expected to invade Marseille over the weekend, the Munster squad will depart for the South of France tomorrow.
It only took another 8 minutes for Munster to add to their scoreline following a Mick O'Driscoll link up with Simon Zebo who broke the line and saw Felix Jones in for a try under the posts.
Keatley converted and quickly followed up with another two penalties on the 20th and 23rd minute.
This was to be Munster's last score as Cardiff started to grow into the game. They closed the gap in the second half when Richard Mustoe went in for a well worked try in the corner on the 47th minute after some quick hands from the Cardiff back line.
Parks converted and brought Cardiff within a converted try of the lead. The game see-sawed for the rest of the second half until Ben Blair added an extra 3 on the 63rd minute leaving it 16-13.
That was the final score in the match as Munster hung on for a narrow victory.
