End of RBS Six Nations Signals Crucial Period For Munster
3 March 2010, 6:42 pm
Several of those involved in the RBS Six Nations finale against Scotland were in UL today for squad training ahead of a crucial few weeks in Munster's season end game.
The immediate schedule sees them playing third placed Glasgow Warriors next Friday followed by League leaders Leinster a week later and then there's the quarter final against Northampton Saints on April 10th.

So it's safe enough to say that by Easter Sunday we'll have a fair idea of where they stand in the Magners League and by 8.15pm six days later, exactly where they are in the Heineken Cup.

To that end Donncha O'Callaghan isn't letting the grass grow under his feet and he was in UL today purely to observe his Munster mates being put through their paces in a fairly rigorous double session.

Ronan O'Gara, who maybe silenced some doubters last Saturday, and Tony Buckley were there also, but unlike O'Callaghan, taking a full part and thus making the squad announcement tomorrow all the more interesting while Billy Holland, a player who has certainly caught the eye in recent weeks, sat out the session having twisted a knee in the game against Scarlets last Thursday.

Holland will have a scan later this week in Cork and is hopeful that the injury is not too serious while the news of Duncan Williams (ankle) is also good in that he sustained bruising and no breaks in Thursday's game.
