Elsewhere EDF Anglo-Welsh Cup winners, Ospreys, visit Connacht, and Magners League champions Leinster travel to Wales to play last season's runners-up Cardiff Blues.  The Llanelli Scarlets travel to Ravenhill and Glasgow Warriors visit Newport Gwent Dragons

Munsters first home game of the 2008/9 Magners League is in Musgrave Park the weekend of September 12th/13th/14th when they play host to the Dragons. 

The newly redeveloped Thomond Park will host its first Munster Magners League of the season when Munster host Glasgow Warriors the first weekend of October.

Once again local derbies will be held over the Christmas/New Year period, whilst the season will conclude the weekend of 16 May, in time to avoid any potential clash of dates with the opening fixture of the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa.

These fixtures are weekend only dates; specific dates, kick-off times and in some cases venues, will be released later in conjunction with broadcast partners and individual teams.
