Lucozade Sport, the country's leading sports nutrition brand, will launch its latest television advertising campaign, today, Monday 16th April. Entitled 'Moment of Truth', the new advert is the follow on the hugely successful, 'Hunger has a Thirst' campaign.

The commercial brings together four of Irelands top athletes; the Republic of Ireland edit features Ireland and Munster dynamic outhalf Ronan OGara, Newcastle United and Republic of Ireland soccer star, Damien Duff, and GAA footballer Colm Cooper, from Kerry. A Northern Ireland edit will feature Ulster and Irish rugby hooker, Rory Best.

Ronan OGara and Damien Duff have both been associated with the brand since July 2003, when they first joined the Lucozade Sport Ambassadors team, whilst Rory Best and Colm Cooper came on board in January 2006 and February 2006, respectively.

Commenting on the new commercial, Ronan McClafferty from Lucozade Sport said, We are very excited about this ad. Moment of Truth dramatises the outstanding character, spirit and dedication of four amazing Irish athletes. Not only that but it highlights how important it is for all sportspeople to have the right products for use during training and matches to improve endurance.

The campaign highlights the emphasis Lucozade Sport places on scientific credentials. These credentials are inherent in the performance and testing of the sports drink, evident through Lucozade Sports association with the National Coaching & Training Centre at the University of Limerick.

The advertising campaign will continue throughout the summer months, whilst a 20 second single sport ad will air around key GAA, rugby and football matches.
