A try from hooker Mike Sherry converted by Declan Cusack who had earlier landed a penalty has Munster leading Heriots 15-7 at Musgrave Park in the British & Irish Cup tie.
Cusack opened the scoring with a penalty in the 6th minute and as Munster continued to enjoy the better of the opening exchanges they were rewarded with the try from Sherry after Dave Foley had taken a clean lineout and Munster peeled left with Nick Williams adding his weight to Sherry's drive for the line.

Any ideas that the Scottish side were over simply for the trip alone were quickly dismissed when their lively backs conjured a good score for wing Max Nimmo that scrum half Graham Wilson converted from the touchline. And minutes later the Heriots captain was wide with a penalty as the visitors continued to belie their position in the table with a period of inventive rugby that leaves Munster plenty of food for thought at the break.
