Brendan and Pat O'Connor scored tries for Cashel in between a third penalty from Og Murphy. Kevin Kidney wrapped up the scoring with a try which Murphy converted.
Highfield defeated Old Crescent 13-12 in their bottom of the table clash at Rosbrien. Sean Quaid scored a try for the winners and Ian O'Donoghue kicked a conversion and two penalties. Alan beanie and Shane Mullally scored tries for Crescent and Kevin Meade kicked a conversion.
Bruff are still looking for their first win as they lost at home to Galwegians 48-20. Donny Bannon scored a try, penalty and conversion for Bruff and John Clery C Tierney scored tries.
In Division 2B Nenagh Ormond had 24-20 away win over Sligo to stay top.
Thomond lost valuable ground when Skerries defeated them 13-5.
Richmond staged a dramatic late rally to beat Ards 22-16 with fifteen minutes remaining. The Limerick side trailed 13-12 with only thirteen players on the pitch. Ger Meehan and Stephen Clancy scored late tries the secure a bonus point victory. Meehan and Eoin Hurley also scored tries and Darragh Clancy kicked a conversion.
Sundays Well continued their recent good run with a 23-13 home win over DLSP. Michael Moynihan scored a try and the 'Well were also awarded a penalty try. Shane O'Riordan kicked two conversions and three penalties.
Midleton slipped further down the table after their 12-0 away defeat by Tullamore.
